Winter is the time to gorge on comfort food that keeps us warm. Here's a ginger and jaggery sweet bites recipe shared by chef Meghna on Instagram which has numerous health benefits.

Recipe for ginger and jaggery bites

Take 100 gms of ginger and char it over the gas flames, remove the charred skin and chop it finely. In a pan add 1 tablespoon of ghee followed by 200 gm of jaggery. Add some salt, turmeric, black pepper, and ginger. Once everything is mixed nicely take off the pan from the stove and roll small balls out of the mixture and store it in an air tight container.

Chef Meghna also advised not to refrigerate the bites and consume them only one daily to keep cold, cough and flu at bay.
