Soften hard and frozen paneer before cooking with these 3 easy hacks

Cottage cheese, commonly called paneer is widely consumed in India. And due to scorching heat and rising temperatures they are mostly stored in refrigerators during summers.  

When stored in the fridge they become too hard and chewy. These easy tips will help you soften them instantly before cooking. 

  • Take out the paneer in room temperature 2-3 hours before cooking
  • Place the frozen paneer on top of a strainer kept on a utensil full of boiled water. The steam will soften the paneer instantly
  • Put the pieces of paneer in a bowl full of hot water to make them softer
