Winter means hot chocolate, blankets, and snuggling for long hours. However, winter is also about catching a cold, having a persistent cough, and feeling laid back. If you also have developed a cough that just won't go, we have a simple tea recipe that might help.

Made using pomegranate peels, this tea recipe is easy to make and helps get rid of persistent cough. Let us know the recipe!

How to make Pomegranate peel tea

Shared on Instagram by lifestyle coach Nidhi Nahata, the recipe can be made in minutes. The lifestyle coach uses Pomegranate peels to make this tea. To make this tea, take a 3-inch pomegranate peel and wash them properly. Take the peel and boil it in 1-liter water. Reduce it to 750 ml. Filter it and pour it into a glass. You can sip this all day long after pouring it into a flask.

Benefits of Pomegranate peel tea

Pomegranate peel is rich in antioxidants, predominantly tannins, and flavonoids. These help reduce cough symptoms. These compounds possess anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, potentially aiding in soothing throat irritation and respiratory discomfort.

However, more research is needed and the role of Pomegranate in reducing cough is not conclusive.

You should also keep in mind that pregnant or breastfeeding individuals with underlying health conditions should exercise caution while drinking this homemade remedy.
