  • Boil 3 to 4 liters of water in a saucepan
  • As it heats, add 1 tablespoon salt, 2 teaspoons sugar and 1 pinch of baking soda
  • When the water starts boiling, add green peas to it and cook for 2 minutes
  • Put them in ice cold water Immediately
  • Now dry them well
  • It is very important to dry them so that the peas do not stick with each other and remain separated when frozen.
  • Now fill them in a zip lock bag and keep them in the freezer and use them throughout the year.

Benefits of eating green peas:

Rich in Nutrients: Green peas are packed with essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin K, vitamin C, manganese, and folate. These nutrients contribute to overall health and well-being.

High in Fiber: With a significant amount of dietary fiber, green peas support digestive health by promoting regular bowel movements and preventing constipation. Fiber also helps in maintaining a healthy weight.

Antioxidant Properties: Green peas contain antioxidants like flavonoids and carotenoids, which help combat oxidative stress in the body. These antioxidants contribute to reducing the risk of chronic diseases.

Supports Heart Health: The presence of heart-healthy compounds such as vitamins B6 and folate, along with their low fat content, makes green peas beneficial for cardiovascular health. These nutrients help regulate homocysteine levels, lowering the risk of heart disease.

Blood Sugar Regulation: The combination of fiber and protein in green peas can help regulate blood sugar levels. This makes them a suitable food choice for individuals with diabetes or those looking to manage their blood sugar levels more effectively.

Also watch: Don't throw garlic peels anymore. Turn them into this delish seasoning instead
