What makes this dish so special is the combination of creamy feta cheese, ripe cherry tomatoes, aromatic garlic, and a hint of olive oil. All of these ingredients are combined together with eggs, resulting in a flavorful and visually appealing breakfast.

To recreate this trendy breakfast dish, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 8-10 ounces of feta cheese
  • 1 pint of cherry tomatoes
  • 4-6 cloves of garlic
  • 2-4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • 4-6 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to make viral feta eggs?

Now, let's walk through the step-by-step process of making Feta Eggs:

  • Take a pan and keep it on a medium heat. 
  • Now, add the cherry tomatoes, whole garlic cloves, and feta cheese in the centre. Drizzle olive oil generously over the top.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you prefer spicy food, consider adding red pepper flakes for some spice.
  • Now, cover this with a lid until the tomatoes have burst and the feta cheese has softened and slightly browned.
  • While the tomato and feta mixture is on the pan, prepare your eggs. You can either crack them into a bowl one by one or create little wells within the tomato and feta mixture to gently nestle the eggs.
  • Once the tomato and feta mixture is ready, remove it from the pan and gently stir everything together. The feta should melt into a creamy sauce.
  • Carefully crack the eggs over the top of the mixture. You can season the eggs with additional salt and pepper if desired.
  • Return the dish to the pan and put it on a medium flame for another 10-12 minutes, or until the egg whites are set, but the yolks are still runny.
  • Once done, garnish your Feta Eggs with fresh basil leaves for a burst of colour and flavour.
  • Serve the dish hot, straight from the pan, with your choice of bread or toast for a complete breakfast experience.
