The 72nd annual Miss Universe pageant was held in El Salvador on November 18 which featured participants from 90 diverse countries.
While Miss Nepal Jane Dipika Garrett broke the stereotype by being the first ever curvy participant at the Miss Universe platform, Miss Pakistan Erica Robin made heads turn with her costume at the swimsuit round as she walked down the ramp in a 'burkini'.
Burkini is a combination of a ‘burqa’ and a ‘bikini’. Erica walked confidently and gracefully wearing the pink light and loose kaftan designed by Rubin Singer in collaboration with the Miss Universe Organization, which was highly appreciated.
