Model and dancer Shweta Sharda is set to represent India for the 72nd Miss Universe pageant. She hails from Mumbai and is popular for participating reality dance shows like Dance India Dance. She was also a choreographer on the TV show Jhalak Dikhla Ja. Shweta is an undergraduate from IGNOU.
The Miss Universe event of this year holds particular importance, signifying historic changes in the organization's evolution and emphasizing a dedication to advancement and inclusiveness. Maria Camila Avella Montañez from Colombia and Michelle Cohn from Guatemala are poised to break barriers at the forthcoming Miss Universe competition, being the first mothers and married women to participate in the pageant.
