Indian fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi has made headlines after she made her red-carpet debut at Cannes. Hailing from a village in India's Uttar Pradesh, Nancy wore her own creation to the prestigious film festival red carpet. In an interview on the red carpet, the content creator revealed that it took her an entire month to make the dress.
In a video shared by Brut, Nancy reveals that she is excited to be at the red carpet and she did not even dream so big, how much she has achieved. Answering in Hindi, Nancy showed off her outfit and said that she herself stitched the outfit.
Sharing moments from the red carpet, Nancy wrote, "Stepping onto the red carpet at the 77th Cannes Film Festival as a debutant feels surreal. I poured my heart and soul into creating this pink gown, which took 30 days, 1000 meters of fabric, and weighs over 20kg. The journey has been intense, but every moment was worth it. I'm overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for the love and support from all of you. This is a dream come true, and I hope my creation dazzles you as much as your support has inspired me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!"
Nancy's journey from the Baranwa village in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh to the Cannes Red Carpet is phenomenal. Nancy relocated to Delhi for UPSC coaching after completing Class 12, but soon lockdown happened and fate took a turn. She soon started content creation to make money.
One scroll through her Instagram and you will realise that Nancy makes some awesome dupes of celebrity attires. Her ensembles are locally sourced and stitched by herself. She shares the entire process on Instagram and followers are often amused by her talent.
Other than Nancy Tyagi, Karishma Gangwal, Ayush Mehra, Viraj Ghelani also walked the red carpet.
