Gone are the days when being labeled "delusional" was an insult. In true Gen Z fashion, we've given it a whole new meaning. Now, being delusional is seen as the key to solving life's challenges, whether in love or work.

Here's what 'delulu is the solulu' means:

Delulu = Delusional
Solulu = Solution

So, when we declare "Delulu is the only Solulu," it's about daring to dream big and being unapologetically optimistic about everything in your life. Embracing this mindset can lead to positive outcomes.

When did this trend kick-off?

Although 'delulu' has recently taken over social media, it was first coined back in 2014 within K-pop fandoms. It was used to describe instances of overly optimistic fan behaviour, like believing in a romantic connection with their idol.

The trend originated on TikTok with #delulu raking in over 1.3 billion views, and then spread via screenshots and videos to X and Instagram reels.

In essence, being Delulu is the ultimate form of manifestation. If you're unfamiliar with the concept, it boils down to maintaining a positive outlook, putting in the effort, and reaping the rewards.

In simpler terms, envision success, dare to be a little delusional, and take meaningful action. This is the path to achieving your goals.

So, as the saying goes on Instagram, it's better to be a tad delulu than to sink into despair.
