Lakhimpur violence: UP police take Ajay Mishra’s son to 'recreate' crime

The Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday ‘recreated’ the events in which eight people including four farmers were killed in Lakhimpur Kheri.  
 
The police brought Union Minister Ajay Mishra’s son Ashish Mishra to the scene. The young BJP leader is accused of the farmers' murder along with his friend and co-accused Ankit Das. 
 
A team of policemen used their cars to recreate the events of that day. 

Ashish Mishra was arrested last week - after spending nearly seven days as a free man despite being named in the FIR. Ashish Mishra was denied bail by a local court on Wednesday. 
 
The Congress and other opposition parties have demanded that Ajay Mishra - who, as the junior Home Minister, step down in order to ensure a fair probe.
