A Kochi resident has filed a case against actor Dulquer Salmaan's much awaited Malayalam film 'Kurup' which releases on November 12.
The PIL stated that the film may breach the privacy of Sukumara Kurup, a notorious criminal on whom the film is based.
In response, the Kerala High Court has issued notices to the Centre, the state government, Interpol and film producers, but no stay order has been issued on the film's release.

In 'Kurup', Dulquer Salmaan plays the wanted criminal Sukumara Kurup, who was accused of murdering a man in 1984. Kurup used the corpse to fake his own death and claim insurance money.
'Kurup' stars actor Indrajith Sukumaran as the cop who traces the criminal on the killing spree. Sobhita Dhulipala plays Kurup's wife.
The film will be releasing in Malayalam and will be dubbed in other languages including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
