The BJP is pinning its hope on Metroman E Sreedharan to a leg into the Kerala political space, which has so far been dominated by the Left and the Congress alliance. The technocrat, who joined the saffron party just before polls, is contesting from the Palakkad constituency. On Tuesday, Sreedharan was among the first to cast his vote. The man credited with establishing Delhi Metro, said that his entry into the party has given a different image to the BJP, which has for decades struggled to make a mark in Kerala. He is sure that the party will do well this time around.
