Kerala man orders iPhone on Amazon, gets soap bar, Rs. 5 coin instead

Soap instead of iPhone, that's the latest e-commerce fraud that was highlighted by the Kerala Police on their facebook page. 

As per reports Ernakulam native Noorul Ameen ordered the iPhone on October 12, and paid Rs 70,900 for it using his Amazon Pay card. But when he received his package Ameen was shocked to find a bar of soap, Rs 5 coin in the package. 

After placing a police complaint and registering the issue with Amazon's customer care the seller was tracked by law enforcement and the money duly refunded to Ameen. 

The police cited a similar instance from last month, when an engineering student in Paravoor in Ernakulam district placed an order online for a laptop worth nearly Rs. 1.25 lakh and found newspaper balls instead.
