Karnataka to soon have anti-conversion law: CM Bommai

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday said the state will soon have an anti-religious conversion law.

Speaking to the media, the chief minister said that the state government is studying related laws enacted by other states and soon an anti-conversion legislation will be introduced for Karnataka as well.

He also categorically stated that the constitution does not permit forced conversion. 

He was replying to a question on his meeting with a group of seers who are seeking a ban on religious conversion.
