Congress party is likely to see big organisational changes soon. Reports say that former MP CM Kamal Nath is tipped to get a major promotion in the party rejig.

The senior Congress leader is likely to be named the working president of the Congress party, according to the reports.

Reports added that interim president Sonia Gandhi has called a meeting of the party's Parliamentary Strategic Group, in which several key decisions may be taken.

Further fuelling speculation around his names, Kamal Nath met Sonia Gandhi at her Delhi residence on Thursday morning.

Reports say that Sonia Gandhi is likely to be named the permanent president after the key party meet.

After the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections 2019, Rahul Gandhi had resigned from the post of party president. After this, Sonia Gandhi became the interim president of the party.
