Johnson & Johnson's single shot Covid vaccine could be offered by hospitals in India early as July as Association of Private Healthcare Providers in India (AHPI) is finalising import details with J&J currently.
The J&J vaccine's biggest advantage is that it has to be administered only once and is easy to store as well. As per data from the CDC it has a 66.3% efficacy.
J&J has offered this single-shot vaccine at $25 (approximately ₹1,875) per dose, which AHPI is negotiating. Private hospitals are charging ₹ 780 per dose of Covishield, ₹ 1,410 per dose of Covaxin and ₹ 1,145 per dose of Sputnik
