The England Cricket Board confirmed on Wednesday that fast bowler Jofra Archer will miss 4 weeks of cricket following surgery on his right elbow. He will now begin an intensive rehabilitation period working with the ECB and Sussex medical teams.
It was already confirmed that Archer would miss the 2-match Test series vs New Zealand but he will now also not be a part of the 3-match Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka starting June 23. A three-match one-day international against Sri Lanka starts June 29 and another three-match ODI series, against Pakistan, begins July 8.
