Former Australia spinner Shane Warne congratulated the 2 new IPL franchise owners that is RPSG, Sanjiv Goenka Group and CVC Capital, and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly.

Staggering amounts of money for each team shows why cricket has become the 2nd most popular & biggest sport on the planet, Warne wrote in his Tweet.

On Monday, the BCCI announced the successful bidders for the new IPL teams. Both teams will start featuring in the league from the 2022 season. The board further said that there will be 74 matches in total and each team will play 7 home games and as many away games.
