While Mumbai Indians registered a thumping 42 run win in Abu Dhabi against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday, Rohit Sharma’s men failed to qualify for the 4th spot in the IPL table.
It was a fine batting masterclass put up by MI’s Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, who came out all guns blazing at the feeble SRH. With the help of Ishan Kishan's quickfire 84 off 32 and Surya Kumar Yadav's 82 runs in 40 balls, Rohit Sharma's side posted a mammoth 236-run target for Hyderabad.

Although both the batters spearheaded MI’s race to the playoffs, the team failed to seal the 4th spot, as they couldn't dismiss Hyderabad for 65 or less. It did not happen as SRH had a great start to the innings. But with a huge target on board and wickets falling at regular intervals, Hyderabad's plan of defeating Mumbai failed. Manish pandey was the highest scorer for SRH with an unbeaten 69 against 41.
