IPL 2021, Punjab beat CSK, KL Rahul

Playing their last league game of the season, Punjab Kings stunned CSK with a 6-wicket win, to hand MS Dhoni's men their 3rd consecutive defeat ahead of the playoffs.

Batting first, CSK's shaky middle order once again let them down as Chennai lost half its side with just 61 runs on the board. But Faf du Plessis' gritty 76 helped CSK finish at 134/6. It proved to be a cakewalk for Punjab as KL Rahul blasted an unbeaten 42-ball-98. His innings made sure that Punjab crossed the finish line with 42 balls to spare.

Though Punjab came out on top in clash of the Kings, CSK are already through to the playoffs but have lost momentum at the wrong time.
