Reputed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the iPhone 13 Pro series will get an upgrade to the ultra-wide camera.

Reportedly, the ultra-wide lens on the upcoming iPhone 13 Pro series will receive the ability to autofocus, rather than the fixed-focus lenses currently used in iPhones.

According to Kuo, the upgrade will remain exclusive to the Pro series for the iPhone 13 lineup, but will reach the base models in the iPhone 14 series.

Many other phones use the autofocus ability in the ultra-wide lens to enable it to take macro shots, which the iPhone 13 Pro models may also allow.
