Apple’s iOS 15, announced at WWDC 21, will get some India-specific features.
Siri can now understand a mixture of English and an Indian language, with support for Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, and Punjabi.
Apple has also added support for some new bilingual dictionaries, including Tamil-English and Marathi-English. Indian users can now turn off notifications for text messages sent by unknown numbers to combat SMS spam.
The iOS 15 developer beta is now available, with the public beta set for release in July.
