International Yoga Day: PM Modi to address Yoga event on Monday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 7th Yoga Day programme on the occasion of the International Yoga Day on on Monday at around 6.30am.

The theme of this year's Yoga Day is Yoga for wellness, which focuses on practising Yoga for both physical and mental well being.

The event will be live telecast on all Doordarshan channels.

The main event of the day will be a televised programme as there are restrictions on congregations amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The event will also include an address by the minister of state for Ayush, Kiren Rijiju, and a live Yoga demonstration by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga.
