Indore: A panshop owner killed over Rs 70. Here are the details

An argument over Rs 70 has left a man dead in Madhya Pradesh's Indore.

According to an NDTV report, an altercation took place between a panshop owner and two allegedly drunk men on Saturday evening after the men refused to pay for a pack of cigarettes.

The men returned to the shop, allegedly drunk again, on Sunday to the shop and again entered into an altercation with the shop owner, Pintu Dubey.

The two men allegedly hit Pintu on head with a rod and also stabbed him. He was rushed to a hospital where he died. After attacking Pintu, the accused allegedly assaulted the owner of the adjoining shoe shop and also some passersby.

A video of the incident shared by NDTV's Anurag Dwary showed blood spilled on the street around the shop. The video showed the two men with rods in their hands along the busy road.

Police said that one of the accused has been arrested while the other is still on the run.
