PV Sindhu's run at the Indonesia Open came to an end on Saturday as India's top shuttler lost her semifinals clash against Ratchanok Intanon 21-15, 9-21, 14-21.

After putting up a good show in the first game, 2-time Olympic medallist Sindhu lost her touch as Thailand's Intanon staged a brilliant comeback.

Apart from her Bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, Sindhu hasn't seen much success in the last couple of years. She reached her first final in over 18 months, at the Swiss Open in March 2021 but suffered a demoralising defeat against Carolina Marín. She then bowed out of the All England Open semi-finals in the same month.
