Former India captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that the Indian team, without their top players, will tour Sri Lanka in July for a limited-overs series. Speaking to PTI, Dada said that while the top stars will be in England preparing for the Test series, a team will tour Sri Lanka with the possibility of playing up to 5 T20s & 3 ODIs. The series will be played keeping in mind that a lot of Indian youngsters need to get some match practice as there is no white-ball cricket on the calendar till September when India's Test tour of England ends. Dada emphasised that due to tough quarantine rules, senior stars like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma won't come from England to play the limited-overs series vs Sri Lanka.
