India continued its domination in javelin throw at the Paralympics after Sumit Antil won the gold medal in the F64 category with a world-record throw of 68.55m. This is his maiden Paralympics.
In his first attempt, the 23-year-old ace para-athlete set the world record with a throw of 66.95m only to break it in the next attempt with a throw of 68.08m Antil was on fire as he held on to the top spot in all his 6 attempts. He again broke his own world record with a throw of 68.55m in the 5th attempt.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to congratulate Antil and wrote that the nation was proud of his record-breaking performance.
This was India's 3rd medal in javelin throw on Monday after Devendra Jhajharia won silver, Sundar Singh Gurjar won bronze in the F46 category.
