India's Covid deaths jump by 2,000 as Madhya Pradesh revises data

India's Covid-19 death toll climbed to over 4 lakh and 10 thousand with 2,020 new deaths recorded after Madhya Pradesh reconciled its fatality data. 

Over 31,000 new coronavirus cases were reported in the last 24 hours , which is the lowest in 118 days,according to the Health Ministry data on Tuesday morning.

The active cases have declined to 4.31 lakh and comprise 1.40 per cent of the total infections. The national Covid-19 recovery rate has increased to 97.28 per cent.

The daily positivity rate  has declined to 1.81 per cent . It has been less than three per cent for 22 consecutive days, the ministry said, adding the weekly positivity rate stands at  2.28 per cent.

Over 38 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
