India administered more Covid-19 vaccine doses in August than all the G7 nations combined, the government announced on Sunday.
Govt portal MyGovIndia, in a tweet, said the country administered over 180 million vaccine doses in August, more than all the Group of 7 nations combined which includes Canada, the UK, Japan, US, Italy, Germany and France.
The tweet added that India has left a mark on the global vaccination map.
Japan administered 40 million doses in August, the highest number of doses administered by a G7 country while Canada administered 3 million doses, the lowest.
India has administered over 68.46 crore vaccine doses since the start of the nationwide vaccination drive earlier this year.
