On Tuesday morning, India woke up to the horrific incident in which a four-year-old boy was brutally murdered by his 39-year-old CEO mom in Goa.
Suchana Seth, a Bengaluru resident and co-founder of the startup Mindful AI Lab, was caught on Monday while fleeing in a taxi to Karnataka. She was detained in Chitradurga, about 204 km from Bengaluru. The cops found the kid's body stuffed in a bag.
During a preliminary interrogation, Suchana Seth cited her “estranged relationship” with husband Venkat Raman as one of the reasons for the extreme action. Raman is currently in Indonesia, and as per reports, he has not been informed of the crime at the time of writing this report.
Police told the NDTV that she was unhappy over a court order. "Their divorce proceedings are in the final stage," Nidhin Valsan, Superintendent of Police, North Goa, was quoted as saying.
Police said that the forensic team is collecting evidence from the murdered site. Seth has now been taken back to Goa for questioning.
The incident came to light after the cleaning staff noticed blood stains in her room and immediately informed the Calangute police.
