Local people distributed sweets outside the Silkyara in Uttarakhand tunnel as workers who were trapped inside were brought out after 17 days. The rescued workers were taken to a medical centre for preliminary health check-up.
The workers had been trapped since November 12 after the under-construction collapsed.
