Security forces used drone to survey the area where 5 soldiers died after being ambushed by terrorists, according to the Army statement. The area was secured and a search operation launched in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch area following the attack. According to the Army, the truck caught fire due to the possible use of grendas by the attackers.
The soldiers belonged to the Rashtriya Rifles.
