Soon after the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan, a video of newly-elected MLA Balmukund Acharya from the Hawamahal seat came to light. In the viral video, Balmukund Acharya was seen instructing a government official to ensure the removal of all open meat stalls from the streets.

In the video, the BJP MLA was seen speaking on the phone with a government officer, where he was heard saying, "Can non-veg be sold openly on the road? Answer yes or no. So, you support this. All roadside non-veg stalls should be shut down immediately. I will take the report from you in the evening. I don’t care who the officer is."

In another video, the BJP MLA was seen speaking with the owners of the stalls and was heard saying, "Do you want to make this Karachi? This is Apara Kashi."

He further said, "How will tourists come here? You have made it so filthy."

As these videos went viral, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi reacted to it by saying, "No one can stop it. If someone wants to set up a non-veg food stall, how can anyone stop it?"

BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya won Rajasthan's Hawa Mahal Assembly seat by 600 votes. With that, he defeated Congress' RR Tiwari.
