A 28-year-old woman, Shreya Jain, from Delhi collapsed and died while dancing at the 'mehndi' ceremony ahead of her wedding in Nainital.
According to Times of India report, the family had planned a destination wedding and booked a luxurious resort in Naukuchiatal.
However, the festivities soon turned into a tragedy. Shreya was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her last rites were held at Kathgodam.
A police official said that she likely died due to cardiopulmonary complications.
Shreya's father said that her daughter had completed her MBA after BTech while the groom works in an IT company.
