Ram temple consecration: UP govt bans liquor sale in 100 kos radius

Weeks ahead of the grand consecration ceremony of Ram Temple in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya, the state government has decided to ban the sale of liquor in a 100 kos radius of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

According Nitin Agarwal, state Excise Minister, the decision was taken during a meeting with Champat Rai, General Secretary of Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust.

Notably, the 84 Kos Parikrama Marg has also been declared a liquor-prohibited area.
