US urges for 'calm, restraint' amid Haryana violence

The United States has appealed for calm amid the communal violence which erupted in Haryana’s Nuh and spread to surrounding areas, including Gurugram. 

The US urged people to refrain from violent actions while adding that there is no information regarding any Americans impacted by the clashes. 

6 people have died since violence erupted during a procession in Nuh on July 31. 

Mobile internet has been suspended in Nuh, Faridabad, Palwal and nearby areas till August 5.
