UP man dies inside train, passengers travel with body for 600 km

A 36-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh died inside the Tamil Nadu Sampark Kranti Express which was en route from Chennai to Hazrat Nizamuddin.

The man, who used to work in Chennai, was travelling to Banda with his brother-in-law when the incident occurred.

Passengers were forced to travel with the body for about 600 kilometres despite urging railway authorities to remove it.

The body was finally taken into custody by the Government Railway Police after the train reached Jhansi. The body was sent for post-mortem.
