Police in Uttar Pradesh have served a notice to a popular Bhojpuri singer for her song on the state government's eviction drive in Kanpur. The singer spoke about the deaths of a mother and daughter during the demolition drive in a satirical song.

The police have accused Neha Singh Rathore of creating disharmony and tension in the city with a variation for her popular song 'UP mein ka ba'.

The singer has been given three days to reply to the notice.
