Two freight trains collided near Pambhipur in Fatehpur district, Uttar Pradesh, on the morning of February 4, resulting in the derailment of the guard compartment and engine.

The first train had been halted due to a signal issue when the second train collided with it from behind. Fortunately, no major disaster occurred.

The collision caused the upline to be blocked, leading to delays and suspensions of several trains in the region. The motormen of both trains were injured and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Railway officials have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Efforts are underway to clear the track and restore normal train services. A high-level inquiry has been ordered to determine the exact cause of the crash.
