Tremors felt in Delhi-NCR as 6.1-magnitude earthquake hits Afghanistan

Tremors were delt in Delhi-NCR and parts of North India, including Jammu and Kashmir after an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 struck Afghanistan.

According to the National Centre for Seismology, epicentre for the quake which struck at 2.50 pm was 241 kilometres from Kabul.

The extent of damage or casualties were not immediately known.

The quake triggered panic among people, with many in the National Capital Region reporting shaking of furniture.
