Hundreds of people and vehicles were stranded at the Badrinath National Highway in Uttarakhand's Chamoli after a massive landslide on July 10. A 30-second video shows a huge portion of a hill falling apart and people taking back steps and capturing the incident on their phones. The landslide has blocked the route at Chungi Dhar in Joshimath.

Authorities were clearing debris at the highway when the hill above them started crumbling leaving people screaming and running for their life.

Police and administration reached the spot immediately to clear the debris. The road is likely to open by Wednesday late night.

Heavy rains in parts of Uttarakhand over the past few days have resulted in landslides in various parts of the state.
