Severe Cold Wave Hits Rajasthan: Fatehpur Freezes at 1.9°C

Jaipur, Dec 5 (PTI): Intense cold continues to grip several parts of Rajasthan, as Fatehpur in Sikar district witnessed a chilling minimum temperature of 1.9 degrees Celsius on Friday morning, marking it as the coldest spot in the state.

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, several regions have reported minimum temperatures falling below 10 degrees Celsius.

The Met office noted the temperatures were 1.9 degrees in Fatehpur, followed by Sikar at 3.0 degrees, Nagaur at 3.1 degrees, Lunkaransar at 3.2 degrees, Churu at 4.5 degrees, and Pilani at 4.8 degrees on Friday morning.

The Meteorological Department further indicated that dry conditions are expected to persist across most parts of the state for the coming week.
