A massive political rally organized by AAP’s Dediapada MLA Chaitar Vasava turned into a significant event in the Morva Hadaf assembly segment on Wednesday, as more than 500 leaders and grassroots workers from the BJP and Congress formally joined the party.
The “Gujarat Jodo JANSABHA” drew thousands of local leaders, farmers, youth, women, and senior citizens, highlighting the party’s growing influence in Panchmahal. MLA Vasava shared the stage with student leader Yuvrajsinh Jadeja and State Youth President Brijraj Solanki, along with a strong turnout of AAP office-bearers and party workers.
Welcoming the new members, Vasava delivered a forceful critique of the state government’s governance. He alleged that locals are struggling to find employment as opportunities are drying up due to corruption in MNREGA. He also highlighted a major scandal in the ₹136-crore group water supply scheme, claiming public funds were misused without accountability.
Vasava raised concerns over the ‘Nal Se Jal’ scheme, saying mismanagement has eroded public trust, and highlighted the plight of displaced families still awaiting land ownership and basic civic amenities. He also criticized the district’s education system, noting that many schools in Panchmahal are operating without teachers or classrooms.
Tribal communities, he added, are facing significant challenges in obtaining caste certificates, reflecting administrative apathy. He further said AAP has received numerous grievances, including demands for SIR benefits, crop loss compensation, and other civic issues, and promised that the party would present every concern to the district administration.
The rally sent a clear political signal: AAP’s momentum in Panchmahal and Morva Hadaf is at an all-time high, and the region is gearing up for potentially historic results in the upcoming civic polls and state assembly elections.
