Rahul Gandhi has updated his Twitter bio following his disqualification as a member of Parliament after he was given a 2-year sentence in a defamation case.
Gandhi is now calling himself a 'Dis'Qualified MP'.
On March 23, a Surat court found him guilty of defamation for his remark linking the surname Modi to thieves and sentenced him to prison for 2 years. The next day the Lok Sabha Secretariat disqualified him as an MP under the Representation of the People Act.
Gandhi was an MP from Kerala's Wayanad.
