Congress on Saturday staged a massive protest in Bengaluru demanding immediate arrest of BJP MLA Madal Virupakshappa after his name surfaced in a bribery scandal.
Senior party leaders, including Siddaramaiah and Randeep Surjewala, staged a protest outside the Karnataka CM’s residence and demanded his resignation.
Several Congress leaders including former CM Siddaramaiah were detained by Police during their protest.
The anti-corruption wing of Lokayukta nabbed sitting Karnataka BJP MLA Madal Virupakshappa's son while he was receiving a Rs 40 lakh bribe on Thursday. Prashanth Madal, son of the BJP MLA was caught by the Lokayukta officials while he was receiving the bribe at his office.
