Union cabinet meeting called by PM Modi amid ongoing session: report

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called a cabinet meeting on September 18 evening, according to ANI.

The development comes as proceedings of day 1 of the special Parliament session are still underway. 

While the agenda of the meeting has not been disclosed so far, it is likely that the 8 bills that are under consideration in the special session will be discussed, India Today reported.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi announced shifting the operations of Parliament to the new building on Tuesday, Sept 18.
