Eight newly elected MLAs with diverse representation were inducted into the Karnataka state Cabinet during the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar in Bengaluru.
The list of ministers includes three Dalits, Dr G Parameshwara, K H Muniyappa, and Priyank Kharge; a Lingayat leader-M B Patil; a Muslim, B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan; a Christian, K J George; a Scheduled Tribe Valmiki Nayak community leader, Satish Jarkiholi; and Ramalinga Reddy.
