South superstar Thalapathy Vijay has decided to take a political plunge and announced the name of his party on Friday.
He has named his party 'Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam' which roughly translates to 'Tamil Nadu Victory Party'.
Vijay said that he politics is not just a career for him but a sacred service. He said that his party will neither contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections or support anyone. The actor however said that his party aims to contenst the Tamil Nadu asssembly elections in 2026.
