The Supreme Court of India pulled up the Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab government over the Sutlej-Yamuna canal issue with Haryana.

As per NDTV, the apex court has warned the Bhagwant Mann administration against ignoring over a 2 decade old order directing both the Punjab and Haryana governments to construct their side of the canal. Reprimanding the administration, the top court said, it should comply with the order, adding that it should not compel the court to pass tough orders.

Significantly, Haryana has already finished construction of its side of the canal

The outlet quoting the legal news website Live Law, added during the hearing, the Punjab government's counsel blamed the opposition for creating pressure causing delays and problems in acquiring land from farmers.
