Amid the huge row over his conviction in a defamation case by the Surat court followed by his disqualification as MP, the Congress leader is set to begin the grand old party's poll campaign in Karnataka from Kolar district on April 5.
Kolar-- is the same place where the former Wayanad MP made the alleged Modi surname remark in 2019. A defamation case against Gandhi was file in Surat court which found the Congress leader guilty and sentenced him to 2 years of jail.
The NDTV quoted state party chief DK Shivakumar as saying, that Rahul will begin his Satyameva Jayate Rally from Kolar after the state leaders requested him of the same.
